About Us

East Staffordshire Borough Council collects refuse and recycling from over 55,000 properties each week. We currently have a vacancy within Waste Management to complement our existing team and maintain our high service standards.

The Role

You will be responsible for duties related to the collection of domestic waste, including dry recyclables, garden waste, and residual waste, supporting the Council's waste management operations. HGV driver training may be offered to candidates interested in developing their skills.

Key Requirements

Skills & Experience: Previous experience in waste collection is desirable, including using bin lift/compaction equipment and acting as a reversing assistant. You should be a team player, possess good customer care skills, enjoy outdoor work in all weather conditions, and be health and safety conscious as you'll operate machinery and work on highways.

Additional Information

Work on public and bank holidays, and occasionally weekends, is required to ensure efficient service. There may be opportunities for HGV training and career progression.
