Job summary

Blackpoint Recruitment is recruiting Refuse Loaders / Waste Operatives to join a busy waste collection team in Letchworth. This role offers weekly pay, ongoing hours, and consistent shifts Monday to Friday, 06:00–15:00, with a minimum 8 hours paid per shift.

Work is outdoors in all weather conditions and involves physical labour. Experience in waste, recycling, labouring, or drivers mate is beneficial but not essential; full training and a supportive team environment are provided.

This is a physically demanding role that involves walking, lifting, and working outdoors in all weather conditions. Previous waste management, recycling, labouring, or drivers mate experience is beneficial but not essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Collecting household and commercial waste and recycling materials
• Loading bins and refuse onto waste collection vehicles
• Working as part of a team to complete daily collection routes
• Following all health & safety policies and procedures
• Maintaining a high standard of reliability and professionalism
• Supporting drivers and loaders throughout the working day
• Working outdoors in all weather conditions

Pay & Benefits

• £12.71 per hour (standard rate)
