Job summary

Stafforce-Recruitment in Kendal is seeking a Refuse Loader for a busy waste management team. Based in Kendal, Cumbria, the role runs 4:00am-1:00pm, Monday to Friday, with overtime on Saturdays.

You will collect household and commercial waste, load it into an RCV, and work as part of a fast-paced depot team. This physically demanding outdoors job requires reliability, stamina, and the ability to work in all weather.

Salary: GBP13.78 - GBP13.78 per annum

We are currently recruiting for a Refuse Loader to join a busy waste management team based in Kendal.

Location: Kendal, Cumbria
Hours:4:00am-1:00pm, Monday to Friday
Overtime: Saturdays available as and when required

This is a physically demanding role working outdoors in all weather conditions. You will be responsible for collecting waste and recycling materials and loading them into a Refuse Collection Vehicle (RCV) as part of a fast-paced team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collecting household and commercial waste from designated routes
• Loading waste and recycling into an RCV safely and efficiently
• Extensive walking throughout shifts
• Repetitive lifting and manual handling of bins and waste containers
• Working closely with drivers and fellow loaders to complete daily collections
• Adhering to all health and safety procedures
• Assisting with general yard and depot duties as required

Requirements:

• Reliable, punctual and hardworking
• Physically fit and capable of carrying out demanding manual work throughout the day
• Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
• Able to work effectively as part of a team
• Previous experience in waste management or a similar manual role is beneficial but not essential
• Own transport is desirable for reliable travel to and from the depot and you mayhave to cover other depots close by
