Job summary

The Best Connection is seeking a Refuse Collector to join a busy waste management team in Chichester. This is an outdoor, full-time role working in all weather conditions.

Your duties include collecting residential and commercial waste on designated routes, loading bins safely, and supporting a smooth daily operation with attention to health and safety and customer service.

Hours are Monday to Friday, 6am to 2pm, paying £12.71 per hour, with weekly pay.

Responsibilities

• Collecting household and commercial waste from designated routes.
• Loading refuse and recycling bins safely and efficiently onto collection vehicles.
• Working closely with drivers and fellow crew members to complete daily routes.
• Ensuring all collections are carried out in accordance with health and safety procedures.
• Maintaining a high level of customer service when interacting with members of the public.
• Assisting in keeping vehicles and work areas clean and tidy.
• Reporting any issues, hazards, or missed collections to the relevant supervisor.

We are currently seeking hardworking and reliable Refuse Collectors to join a busy waste management team. This is an active role working outdoors in all weather conditions with full time hours and available immediately!

The Role

As a Refuse Collector, you will work alongside a dedicated crew collecting residential and commercial waste throughout the local area. This position involves a significant amount of walking and manual handling, making it perfect for someone who enjoys staying active throughout the working day.
