Job summary

East Suffolk Services Limited is seeking a Refuse HGV Driver/Loader to join our Waste and Recycling team in Ufford, Woodbridge. You will drive HGV Refuse Collection Vehicles and load refuse, recycling, garden, food waste, and sacks, while prioritising health and safety and delivering excellent customer care.

The role also includes acting as chargehand for your round and supporting in-cab technology to ensure accurate route information is recorded and reported to the depot.

Qualifications

• Hold a full UK Driver's Licence.
• LGV Class 2 Category C licence and a valid Driver CPC.

We currently have an opportunity to join our Waste and Recycling team as a Refuse HGV Driver/Loader.

Your role

You'll be responsible for driving HGV Refuse Collection Vehicles and loading refuse, recycling, garden, food waste, and sacks onto the lorry; always prioritising health, safety, and excellent customer care. This role is essential in keeping our streets clean and tidy.

As the Driver for your round, you’ll also act as chargehand, taking accountability for the vehicle and crew each day. In addition, you’ll assist with in-cab technology, ensuring accurate and timely completion of all information related to your route.

What you will need

You will need to hold a full UK Driver's License, an LGV Class 2 Category C licence and a valid driver CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence).
