Job summary

Aligra Bristol is seeking a Class 2 HGV driver to join the team for daily outdoor refuse collection. The role offers Mon-Fri shifts, with early starts and weekends off, and involves working as part of a small team to meet daily targets while delivering excellent customer service.

You will operate a Class 2 HGV vehicle, collect recyclables and waste, perform safety checks, and support loaders as needed. Previous refuse collection experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Valid Class 2 HGV licence with a clean driving record
• Physically fit and able to work outdoors in various weather conditions
• Positive attitude and strong team player

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a Class 2 HGV refuse vehicle in line with regulations
• Collect plastics, cardboard, glass and household waste efficiently
• Assist loaders to meet daily collection targets
• Conduct daily vehicle safety checks and basic maintenance
• Communicate clearly with team members and supervisors
• Deliver excellent customer service as a representative of the company

Key responsibilities:

Candidate requirements:

• Valid Class 2 HGV licence with a clean driving record
• Available Monday to Friday, typically 07:00 – 15:30
• Physically fit and able to work outdoors in various weather conditions
• Positive attitude and strong team player
• Previous refuse collection experience preferred
