Job summary

A local recruitment agency is seeking HGV Class 2 Refuse Drivers for a contract in Nottingham. This role offers late afternoon/evening shifts from 14:00 to 22:00, driving refuse collection vehicles and leading a small crew. Candidates must possess a valid HGV Class 2 licence, CPC, and Digital Tachograph Card. Prior refuse experience is preferred. Immediate starts and ongoing temporary work are available, with weekly pay through the agency.

Qualifications

• Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence required.
• CPC & Digital Tachograph Card necessary.
• Previous refuse or similar driving experience is preferred.
• Physically fit and able to handle hands-on work.
• Reliable, safety-focused and team-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Drive refuse collection vehicles safely and professionally.
• Complete daily vehicle safety and defect checks.
• Lead and support a small collection crew.
• Use in-cab systems to record collections and incidents.
• Work to Health & Safety and road traffic regulations.
• Represent the client positively within the community.
