Job summary

GEA Group is looking for a Refrigeration Technician to service, maintain, and repair refrigeration systems on dairy farms in Kilmarnock, Scotland. The role involves ensuring systems run efficiently and meet industry standards while supporting milk quality and cooling performance.

Qualified candidates will have NVQ Level 2/3 in refrigeration, experience in the field, strong fault-finding skills, and a valid UK driving license. Competitive salary, company vehicle, and training are offered.

Job description

Your responsibilities and tasks

As a Refrigeration Technician at DairyFlow, you will be responsible for the service, maintenance, and repair of all refrigeration systems on dairy farms, primarily focusing on Mueller milk cooling tanks, silos and associated plant. You’ll ensure systems run efficiently, meet industry standards, and support dairy farms in maintaining milk quality and cooling performance.

• Carry out routine servicing and maintenance of bulk milk tanks and cooling systems
• Diagnose and repair faults in refrigeration units and associated electrical systems
• Respond to on‑site breakdowns quickly and efficiently
• Install new refrigeration units and upgrade existing systems as required
• Perform refrigerant handling in compliance with F‑Gas regulations
• Maintain accurate records and complete service reports
• Provide technical support and advice to farmers and the DairyFlow team
• Participate in a shared on‑call rota for emergency breakdowns

Your profile and qualifications
