Job summary

HVAC Recruitment are seeking an experienced Refrigeration Engineer (Install Bias) to join our Birmingham team. You will install, service and maintain commercial refrigeration systems across retail and hospitality sites.

Salary up to £45,000 with excellent benefits and ongoing training. You will work on display cabinets, cold rooms and pack systems, complete electronic job reports and participate in a circa 1 in 6 on-call rota.

Qualifications

• Experience in commercial or supermarket refrigeration systems.
• NVQ Level 2/3 Refrigeration & Air Conditioning (or equivalent).
• F-Gas Category 1 certification.
• Knowledge of Danfoss and Carel control systems.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Customer-focused and professional.

Responsibilities

• Install, service, and maintain commercial refrigeration systems.
• Carry out planned and reactive maintenance across retail and hospitality sites.
• Diagnose and repair faults on display cabinets, cold rooms, and pack systems.
• Ensure all work is completed in line with F-Gas regulations and health & safety standards.
• Complete electronic job reports accurately.
• Participate in the on-call rota (approximately 1 week in 6).

About the Role

Due to continued growth, we're looking for an experienced Refrigeration Engineer with an installation bias to join our expanding team in Birmingham. This is a fantastic opportunity for a Refrigeration Engineer looking for a long-term role with excellent earning potential, ongoing training, and genuine career progression.

What We're Looking For

• Experience as a Refrigeration Engineer working on commercial or supermarket refrigeration systems.
• NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning (or equivalent).
• F-Gas Category 1 certification.
• Good knowledge of remote packs and control systems such as Danfoss and Carel.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Professional, customer-focused approach.
