Pioneer-Selection-Ltd is seeking a Refrigeration Engineer for a days-based role in Southall, London. You will maintain and repair a range of commercial and industrial refrigeration systems to maximise reliability and minimise downtime across the site.

The role requires F-Gas Cat 1, refrigeration maintenance experience in the UK, and hands-on planned, reactive and breakdown maintenance. It offers a competitive salary up to £55,000 and ongoing training.

Qualifications

• F-Gas Category 1 certification is required.
• Experience maintaining commercial or industrial refrigeration systems.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills on refrigeration plant.
• Knowledge of planned, reactive and breakdown maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Perform planned preventative maintenance on refrigeration systems.
• Carry out reactive maintenance and fault-finding to minimise downtime.
• Repair and service compressors, condensers and evaporators.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to maximise site performance.

Job Role of the Refrigeration Engineer

You will be responsible for carrying out planned preventative maintenance, reactive maintenance, fault-finding, and repairs on refrigeration plant and associated equipment, while supporting continuous improvement initiatives to maximise site performance.

Non-Negotiable Requirements of the Refrigeration Engineer

• F-Gas Category 1 certification.


• Refrigeration maintenance experience within a commercial or industrial environment.


• Hands-on experience with planned, reactive, and breakdown maintenance.

Requirements for the Refrigeration Engineer

• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills on refrigeration systems.


• Recognised Refrigeration or Air Conditioning qualification (NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, or equivalent).


• Experience maintaining refrigeration plant, compressors, condensers, evaporators, and associated equipment.

Desirable Requirements for the Refrigeration Engineer

• Experience working as a Refrigeration Engineer in the UK.


• Experience with ammonia, CO₂, or other industrial refrigeration systems.


• Electrical fault-finding experience would be advantageous.
