Job summary

Staffline is seeking an experienced Refrigeration Engineer to service and repair refrigeration equipment on supermarket contracts across Peterborough and Milton Keynes. The role includes on-call duties on a 1:4 rota and maintaining regulatory paperwork for stores.

The ideal candidate has time-served apprenticeship with refrigeration qualifications, a valid driving license, and experience with PDA systems. A permanent role with a salary around £51k is offered, with van, fuel card, tools and IT

Qualifications

Time served apprenticeship and Refrigeration related qualifications.
NVQ/C&G Refrigeration qualification or equivalent.
Approved training programme for refrigeration work.
C&G 2079 refrigerant handling or CITB certificate.
A valid Skill Card and clean driving licence.
Flexibility for 24/7 on-call rota (1:4).
Ability to read technical drawings and interpret schematics.
Experience with PDA systems for field service.

Responsibilities

Prioritise maintenance and repair work to meet timescales.
Identify faults and advise on replacements when required.
Ensure PPM schedules are completed accurately.
Complete all technical and compliance paperwork.
Order and fit parts as prescribed by procedures.
Report issues affecting stores to management and foster partnership.
Carry out surveys and compile reports for supervisors.

Refrigeration Engineer

£51,287.99 (salary including on call standby 1:4 + 8% SLA)

My client is on the lookout for an experienced RefrigerationEngineerto join the team. You will have the opportunity to work on one of their leading supermarket contracts.

The role will involve maintaining, servicing and repairing Refrigeration Equipment in customer locations and provide assistance to HVAC equipment containing refrigeration circuits.

Key Responsibilities - Refrigeration Engineer

Prioritise maintenance and repair work to achieve agreed timescales and response times.
Identify non-repairable faults promptly advise the Line manager of findings, with recommendations regarding suitable replacements.
To ensure PPM schedules are completed within agreed timescales and that all necessary paperwork is completed accurately and to the laid-down procedures.
Ensure that all technical and compliance paperwork is always completed and up to date.
To order and fit parts or components as prescribed by company procedures.
To advise the GSMs of any repair, maintenance and installation issues that are likely to affect the smooth running of the store and to build rapport and promote the spirit of partnership with all GSM's.
To carry out surveys and complete reports as required by the refrigeration supervisor/ RFM.
