Position Details

• Location: North London
• Contract Type: Permanent
• Hours: 40 Hours Per Week
• Salary: £50,696.51 Total Salary (Inclusive of LWA & Standby Payment (1:4 x 13 Periods) + Overtime + Travel Time)

An exciting opportunity has emerged for an experienced Refrigeration Engineer to join our company and work with one of our major UK supermarket clients. The role involves carrying out planned and reactive refrigeration maintenance across retail stores, maintaining and repairing refrigeration equipment, and undertaking regular store visits for reactive work, PPMs, and minor repairs.

Key Responsibilities

1. Carrying out PPM and reactive refrigeration maintenance across multiple sites.
2. Servicing and repairing a range of CO2 refrigeration pack equipment.
3. Identifying non-repairable faults and advising the Refrigeration Manager with recommendations for replacements.
4. Performing minor alterations and installations within technical competence according to current specifications.

Qualifications / Experience

Essential

• SVQ/NVQ Level 3 in Refrigeration or equivalent qualification.
• City and Guilds 2079-1 FGas Category 1.

Desirable

• City and Guilds 7671 18th Edition.
• City and Guilds CO2 Refrigeration System Services.

Ideal Candidate

• Multiple years’ experience with supermarket refrigeration systems.
• Flexible to be on a 24/7 on-call rota (1:4 weeks).
• Full driving license.
• Experience using PDA systems.
• Ability to read technical drawings.
• Experience with PPM and reactive maintenance in retail environments.
