Recruit4Staff is proud to be representing their client, a leading industrial company, in their search for a Refrigeration Engineer to work at their facility in Bedfordshire.

For the successful Refrigeration Engineer, our client offers:

• Up to £44,000 per annum basic
• Monday - Friday, 8 am - 4:30 pm
• Permanent position
• Overtime paid at 1.5x
• Company Van, Laptop, and Phone
• Expense card
• Paid from door to customer sites

The Role - Refrigeration Engineer:

• Prepare & repair units, complete outgoing checks and checklists as required
• Service or repair containers at customer sites in the south of UK
• Manage refrigeration parts at the UK South depot, including stock checks, documenting parts provided to subcontractors, ordering replenishments, maintaining van stock
• Prepare documentation and reports (e.g., repair status, safety logs) to convey information and support actions
• Complete all H&S paperwork prior to and during works, including risk assessments, SSWP, training records, certificates, and equipment records
• Ensure all paperwork and entries on the Service system are up to date; send job cards with parts and labor details promptly
• Plan outgoing checks and repairs in line with the production schedule
• Liaise with customers to schedule maintenance or repairs
• Integrate into the wider Service team in UK & Ireland
• Ensure customer satisfaction on all service aspects and follow up to address concerns
• Ensure all equipment, tools, and PPE are available before site visits

Qualifications and Experience required:

• Time-served four-year apprenticeship and a national craft certificate in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning ESSENTIAL
• Experience in transport refrigeration or working on refrigeration in ports ESSENTIAL
• Minimum 3-year post-apprenticeship experience ESSENTIAL
• Full clean driver’s license ESSENTIAL
• F-gas certificate C&G 2079 or equivalent ESSENTIAL
• UK construction-based qualification BENEFICIAL
