Job summary

Veolia Group in Alresford, Hampshire is recruiting for a site-based role at the Household Waste Recycling Centre. Salary is £12.71 per hour, with hours varying across seasons and two regular weekdays off each week, across 7 days including bank holidays.

You will assist members of the public with waste disposal, uphold health and safety, maximise recycling, keep the site clean, operate the tablet booking system and support trade waste control, contributing to a safe, efficient operation.

Qualifications

• Similar operational manual handling experience.
• Right to work in the UK.
• This role involves manual handling and working outdoors in all weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Assisting members of the public at the household recycling centre with waste and recycling disposal.
• Ensure the health and safety of all members of the public, visitors, staff and contractors at the site.
• Ensure that materials on site are recycled as much as possible.
• Ensure that the facility is left in a clean condition and any spillages are cleaned up before leaving the area.
• Operate the IT Tablet based booking system.
• Trade waste control.
