Job summary

Veolia at the Alresford Household Waste Recycling Centre in Hampshire is recruiting for an on-site role. You will assist the public with waste disposal, maintain safety on site and help maximise recycling while keeping the area clean and orderly.

Daily duties include operating the tablet-based booking system, handling trade waste and supporting the team across varied hours across 7 days, with regular days off each week. Training and development are provided as part of Veolia’s benefits.

Qualifications

• Similar operational manual handling experience.
• Right to work in the UK.
• This role involves manual handling and working outdoors in all weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Assisting members of the public at the household recycling centre with waste and recycling disposal.
• Ensure the health and safety of all members of the public, visitors, staff and contractors at the site.
• Ensure that materials on site are recycled as much as possible.
• Ensure that the facility is left in a clean condition and any spillages are cleaned up before leaving the area.
• Operate the IT Tablet based booking system.
• Trade waste control.
