Job summary

Veolia's Materials Recovery Facility (MRF) in Mansfield is seeking an operative to join our team. You will help ensure recycling materials are separated to meet the required standards, sort materials on the conveyor, and keep the work area clean and safe.

The role offers 37.5 hours per week on a two-week rota (6am-2pm and 2pm-10pm) with a salary of £24,784.50 per year plus Veolia benefits and occasional overtime when needed.

Qualifications

• Operational or manual handling experience required.
• Team player with a collaborative approach.
• Mobile plant experience desirable.

Responsibilities

• Ensure recycling materials are separated to meet the required standards.
• Sort out individual materials on the sorting conveyor.
• Ensure the work area is kept in a clean and tidy condition.
• Undertake the cleaning duties of the plant.
• Provide cover for other positions within the MRF when necessary.
• Operate mobile plant and balers when required (following completion of training).
