Job description


Manpower is looking for a Recycling Operative to join our client in Cambridge. You will play a key role in precious metal recovery process, working closely with the research team to ensure accurate sampling and tracking. This is a practical, hands-on role that requires attention to detail, a commitment to health and safety, and a proactive approach to maintaining cleanliness in the workspace. Working days Monday to Friday from 8am to 4pm. Pay rate £12.21 to £14.28 (depending on experience)

Responsibilities
· To be responsible for a new leaching process, inc. sample intake, material tracking, equipment maintenance, health and safety and experiment execution.
· Loading, emptying and monitoring process vessels.
· Operating filter press and other filtration equipment as required. (Full training will be provided)
· Data input - inputting information from the owned process onto shared documents for tracking.
· Helping hand - being generally available to assist colleagues across departments
· Maintaining Health and Safety standards
· Maintenance of general machinery, and process related equipment.
· Lab assistance - providing non-technical support for lab staff, including sample collection, data input and maintaining a clean and safe lab work area

What We're Looking For
· Previous experience in a production or recycling environment
· IT proficient
· Basic Chemistry knowledge (desirable but not essential)
· Good communication
· Supporting team members
· Happy to work in isolation and as part of a team
· Forklift experience (desirable but not essential)
· A practical, detail-oriented, and safety-conscious approach to work
