A busy recycling facility in Broxburn is recruiting a Recycling Operative to join a hardworking team. The role runs Monday to Friday with early finishes, offering steady ongoing work and a supportive environment. Training will be provided to help you contribute to our environmental sustainability goals.

In this hands-on position you will sort materials, operate equipment safely, maintain cleanliness, and follow health and safety procedures while meeting daily targets.

Responsibilities

• Sort recyclable materials including paper, cardboard, plastics, glass, and metals.
• Operate recycling equipment and machinery safely and efficiently.
• Inspect materials to remove contamination and ensure quality standards are met.
• Load and unload recyclable materials from vehicles and containers.
• Maintain a clean, tidy, and hazard-free work environment.
• Follow all health, safety, and environmental procedures.
• Wear and maintain the appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Report equipment faults, safety concerns, or incidents to supervisors.
• Assist with general housekeeping and site maintenance.
• Work as part of a team to achieve daily production targets.
