Job summary

Warwickshire County Council is recruiting a Recycling Advisor for the Household Waste Recycling Centre in Rugby. You will advise customers on disposing of wastes, sort recyclables, and liaise with the public to promote safe, compliant recycling practices.

This role requires fluent spoken English and strong communication to handle a busy public-facing environment. You will understand instructions, follow health and safety guidance, and contribute to delivering an efficient recycling service

Job description

We are looking for a Recycling Advisor to support our overall operation at the Household Waste Recycling Centre in Rugby. The role will include advising and sorting recycling products and liaising with the general public., The Fluency Duty is outlined in the Code of Practice on the English language requirements for public sector workers. The Fluency Duty for this role is Required. You must be able to speak and provide advice in accurate spoken English to the public.

• You will have the ability to understand instructions and carry them out and have a be prepared to develop a general understanding of health and safety.
• This role will be customer facing so good communication skills are essential.
