Job summary

Berkshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust in Reading is seeking an experienced Recruitment Team Leader to oversee the Recruitment Team and drive efficient hiring processes.

You will partner with recruiting managers and HR colleagues to meet targets, ensure excellent candidate experience, and develop staff while delivering timely vacancies. This NHS role offers flexible working options and opportunities to improve processes within an outstanding trust.

Qualifications

• Experience of supervising and mentoring others.
• Good standard of education. Qualified to NVQ3 or an equivalent level of experience.
• Experience of working with Recruitment/HR systems and Microsoft packages.
• Previous in-house recruitment experience and an ability to demonstrate a good understanding of the processes involved.
• Experience of working in a customer service environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate the daily activities of the Recruitment Team, providing guidance and support to Recruitment Administrators and Assistants.
• Deputising for the Deputy Recruitment Administration Manager when required.
• Acting as a key point of contact for recruiting managers and colleagues across the Trust, providing advice and resolving more complex recruitment queries.
• Supporting the delivery of recruitment KPIs and SLAs, ensuring candidates receive an excellent experience throughout the recruitment journey.
• Prioritising pre-employment checks and offers for hard-to-fill and business-critical roles, helping to accelerate appointments where they are needed most.
• Overseeing the end-to-end recruitment process, from advertising vacancies and arranging interviews through to issuing contracts and completing pre-employment checks.
• Ensuring compliance with NHS Employment Standards, safer recruitment requirements, right to work legislation and Disclosure and Barring Service processes.
• Working with the Recruitment Manager to identify opportunities to improve processes and implement service improvements.
