About a career with Elis

About Elis

Elis is an international leader in textile, hygiene and facility services, helping businesses across a wide range of industries to operate safely, sustainably and efficiently. With a presence in 29 countries and a team of around 52,000 people, we combine the scale and stability of an international organisation with the opportunity to build a rewarding and long‑term career.

Our people are at the heart of everything we do. We believe in investing in our people, recognising their contribution and giving them the opportunity to develop, progress and build careers they can be proud of.

At Elis, you'll be part of a culture built on trust, respect and collaboration, where your ideas and contribution are valued. We want our people to have a voice, and our commitment to listening and acting on employee feedback was recognised when Elis UK won Best Employee Engagement Experience Initiative at the 2024 CIPD People Management Awards for our Employee Voice programme.

With opportunities across operations, engineering, logistics, sales and our head office support functions, there are many ways to develop your career with Elis.

The Opportunity

This is an exciting time to join recruitment at Elis UK.

We are building a more proactive, direct and commercially focused internal recruitment function, and we're looking for a Recruitment Partner who wants to play a key part in that journey.

This isn't a role that's simply about processing vacancies or waiting for applications to arrive.

You’ll partner directly with managers across the business to understand their recruitment challenges, identify the talent they need and develop the right sourcing strategy to find it.

You’ll use direct sourcing, headhunting, talent mapping, referrals, job boards, LinkedIn and proactive networking to identify great people and build talent pipelines for both current and future requirements. Ultimately, we want our Recruitment Partners to become trusted recruitment experts to the business – bringing market knowledge, challenging where appropriate and helping managers make better hiring decisions.

If you enjoy finding great people, building relationships and want the freedom to influence how an internal recruitment function develops, we’d love to hear from you.

What You’ll Be Doing
Recruitment Partnering
  • Partner with hiring managers across your region to understand their people plans, vacancies and future recruitment requirements.
  • Build strong relationships with managers and become their go-to recruitment partner for attraction, sourcing and market insight.
  • Lead recruitment briefings to understand the role, market, candidate profile and appropriate sourcing strategy.
  • Advise and challenge hiring managers where appropriate around candidate availability, salary expectations, recruitment timescales and attraction strategies.
  • Manage recruitment campaigns from initial briefing through to offer, delivering a high‑quality experience for both candidates and hiring managers.
Direct Sourcing & Talent Pipelines
  • Take a proactive approach to identifying talent rather than relying solely on applications.
  • Use LinkedIn Recruiter, CV databases, job boards, referrals and direct headhunting to identify and engage prospective candidates.
  • Build targeted talent pipelines for business‑critical and regularly recruited roles.
  • Develop talent maps and market intelligence to help the business understand where the best candidates can be found.
  • Create engaging and targeted recruitment campaigns across LinkedIn, Indeed, CV-Library and other relevant channels.
  • Build relationships with universities, colleges, professional networks and other talent communities.
  • Support the development of our employee referral and early careers strategies.
  • Help increase direct hiring and reduce our reliance on recruitment agencies.
Recruitment Excellence
  • Deliver a positive and professional candidate journey from first contact through to offer.
  • Work closely with hiring managers to improve interview quality, pace and candidate experience.
  • Use recruitment data and market insight to identify trends and recommend improvements.
  • Maintain accurate recruitment activity through our ATS and ensure vacancies progress effectively through the recruitment process.
  • Contribute ideas to continuously improve how Elis attracts, assesses and hires talent.
  • Support the development of our employer brand and help tell the story of why people should build their careers with Elis.
What We’re Looking For

We're looking for someone who genuinely enjoys recruitment and wants to be more than an order‑taker.

You’ll be comfortable partnering with hiring managers, proactively approaching passive candidates and taking ownership of your recruitment market.

You’ll ideally bring:

  • Previous experience within recruitment, either in‑house or agency
  • Strong experience recruiting Maintenance Engineers, Engineering professionals and/or Sales professionals would be an advantage
  • A proven track record of direct sourcing and candidate attraction, particularly within competitive or hard‑to‑fill markets
  • Confidence proactively approaching and engaging passive candidates rather than relying solely on advert response
  • Experience using LinkedIn Recruiter, CV databases, job boards and other sourcing tools
  • The ability to build and maintain talent pipelines for recurring and business‑critical roles
  • Strong stakeholder management and relationship‑building skills
  • The confidence to advise and constructively challenge hiring managers
  • A proactive, commercially minded approach to recruitment
  • Strong organisation and the ability to manage multiple recruitment campaigns across different locations and disciplines
  • An understanding of recruitment data and market insight and how these can be used to improve hiring decisions

Most importantly, we're looking for someone with the energy, curiosity and drive to find great people. Someone who enjoys the challenge of finding hard‑to‑reach talent and wants to become a true recruitment partner to the business, rather than simply managing vacancies.

What We Offer

At Elis, we believe great people should be recognised, supported and given the opportunity to grow. In return for the impact you’ll make, you’ll receive a strong benefits package and the opportunity to build a long‑term career within an established international business.

We offer:

  • salary – Up to £35,000
  • 25 days’ annual leave plus bank holidays – giving you time to switch off and recharge
  • Private medical cover – supporting your health and wellbeing
  • Company pension – 5% employer contribution alongside 5% employee contribution
  • Life assurance – providing additional peace of mind for you and your family
  • Investment in your development – with ongoing training and opportunities to grow your skills and leadership capabilities
  • Genuine career progression – with opportunities to develop your career across Elis in the UK and our wider international business
  • Long‑term stability – joining an established, successful international organisation
  • A role where you can make an impact – with the autonomy to build strong customer relationships, drive retention and influence commercial performance
  • A supportive, collaborative culture – where your ideas, expertise and contribution are valued
  • 33 Days Holiday
  • Company Pension
  • Employee Assistance Programme
  • Life Assurance
  • On-site Parking
