Job summary

Prospero Group is recruiting for a Recruitment Consultant to join our Birmingham team, focusing on education staffing. You will manage a temporary staffing desk supplying teachers, teaching assistants and support staff to primary, secondary and specialist schools.

You will develop new business, manage client relationships, and source high-quality candidates while steering the end-to-end recruitment process with a consultative approach.

Qualifications

• Experience in recruitment or B2B sales is preferred.
• Strong entrepreneurial spirit and business acumen are essential.
• Excellent communication, drive and ambition are required.

Responsibilities

• Business Development: develop new opportunities via outbound calls, networking, referrals, and client visits.
• Client Relationship Management: build relationships with schools and maximise repeat business.
• Candidate Sourcing: recruit and register education professionals including teachers and support staff.
• End-to-End Recruitment: manage cycle from client engagement to placement; coordinate bookings.
• Consultative Expertise: advise clients on trends, salary benchmarks and placement terms.

Prospero Group are recruiting for a Recruitment Consultant to join our brilliant Birmingham team!

As an Education Recruitment Consultant, you'll manage and grow a temporary staffing desk, supplying teachers, teaching assistants and support staff to primary, secondary, and specialist schools.

What You'll Do:

• Business Development: Proactively develop new business opportunities through outbound sales calls, networking, referrals, and client visits.
• Client Relationship Management: Develop strong and lasting relationships with schools. Maintain regular contact with existing clients to maximise repeat business and identify additional staffing opportunities
• Candidate Sourcing: Source, interview, and register high-quality education professionals, including teachers, teaching assistants, cover supervisors, and support staff.
• End-to-End Recruitment Process: Manage the recruitment cycle from initial client engagement through to candidate placement, ensuring a seamless process for both clients and candidates. Coordinate daily bookings, last-minute cover requests, and emergency staffing requirements efficiently.
• Consultative Expertise: be an expert in your area and advise clients on recruitment trends, salary benchmarking, and solutions. Negotiate rates, terms of business, and placement details with clients and candidates
