Job Title: Recruitment Assistant Adviser – HC621161

Location: Strategic Headquarters, Eastleigh (Hybrid/Office based). You will be expected to attend team office days once a week as a minimum.

Hours: 37.00 hours per week

Contract: Permanent

Closing Date: 25th May 2025 at 23:59 hours

The Recruitment Team aims to attract the best staff and officers into Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary to deliver key priorities and the Force's vision, providing high-quality and specialist HR services.

What will you do?

As a Recruitment Assistant Adviser, you will support key recruitment areas, primarily assisting the Police Staff team within the Resourcing function. Your responsibilities include creating and publishing adverts, arranging interviews, and issuing offer letters. You will be supported by an Adviser overseeing the process, helping you understand organizational needs and recruitment challenges. You will also handle ad-hoc recruitment tasks such as shortlisting applications, liaising with stakeholders, and advising applicants. Flexibility and adaptability to changing demands are essential.

You will engage with Recruiting Managers, providing recruitment support and guidance in line with policies, Police Regulations, and employment law. You will support recruitment assessments, fairs, and events, sharing your knowledge of police careers with prospective candidates. This role offers the chance to make a tangible difference supporting an organization impacting your local community.

Essential Qualifications

Educated to QCF Level 2 (5 passes) or equivalent work experience. Administrative experience in a busy, customer-focused office environment with frequent direct contact with customers. Good knowledge of IT systems, including spreadsheets and word processing, with confidence in using supporting systems. Experience in multitasking and prioritizing. Clear and professional communication skills, both verbal and email.
