T2M Resourcing is assisting a leading engineering and manufacturing organisation to appoint a Recruitment Assistant. This is a newly created role with a primary focus on recruitment, as well as assisting with training and general administration.

Key responsibilities of the Recruitment Assistant include:

Recruitment:

  • Assist hiring managers with developing clear and effective job descriptions and advertisements
  • Utilise various channels (such as job boards, social media, networking, etc.) to source candidates
  • Conduct initial screenings of CVs and present shortlisted candidates to hiring managers
  • Follow up proactively with hiring managers to ensure a timely recruitment process
  • Issue employment contracts, job descriptions, and onboarding documentation; verify right-to-work, references, and facilitate smooth onboarding
  • Review existing supplier agreements and evaluate new proposals
  • Provide regular reports on recruitment progress and suggest process improvements
  • Maintain accurate records of candidates and recruitment activities
  • Manage the employee referral program

Training:

  • Maintain and update the training database
  • Coordinate with internal and external training providers to schedule sessions, send invitations, and confirm attendance
  • Arrange accommodation, meals, and refreshments, and communicate details to delegates
  • Distribute course briefs and post-training evaluation surveys to assess effectiveness and address needs

General Administration:

  • Organise annual conferences, budget meetings, and team-building events
  • Ensure HR data accuracy within the HR system and generate management reports
  • Oversee employee surveys, collect feedback, and prepare reports

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Experience in recruitment or resourcing, preferably in industrial or high-volume recruitment
  • Proficiency with recruitment platforms (e.g., LinkedIn Recruiter, job boards)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
  • Keen attention to detail and commitment to a positive candidate experience
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders
  • Proactive, self-motivated, and positive attitude
