We have an exciting secondment /FTC opportunity to work as a recruiter and be part of the new Talent Acquisition Recruitment Team. Working closely with the Recruitment Business Partners, you will play an integral role in embedding our new TAR model, driving best recruitment practices across NHSBT. This role offers the opportunity to expand your skill set, collaborate with key stakeholders, and promote excellence in candidate care.

Main duties of the job

In this role, you will lead and manage all end-to-end recruitment activities for designated directorates and/or specialisms. Your responsibilities will include:

  1. Acting as the first point of contact for providing value-adding recruitment advice to specified directorates, in liaison with People and Culture Partners and Directorate Leadership teams.
  2. Working closely with the Talent Brand & Attraction team to identify the best route-to-market strategy for ‘hard-to-fill’ vacancies. This includes conducting in-depth analysis and collaborating with Recruitment Business Partners (RBPs) when initial campaigns are unsuccessful.
  3. Tracking progress and assisting RBPs in managing their directorates, while developing strategic recruitment plans.
  4. Liaising with team members to design and deliver appropriate advertising and campaigns for roles.
  5. Establishing and maintaining a talent pipeline for future vacancies and campaigns.
  6. Maintaining engagement with successful candidates and potential future candidates, which may include some out-of-office hours work.
  7. Deputising for the Recruitment Business Partner when required.

About You
Experience and Knowledge
  • Knowledge of using social media techniques within the recruitment process.
  • Knowledge of recruitment employment law, data protection, diversity, and equality legislation.
  • Knowledge of recruitment processes and selection techniques.
  • Experience in sourcing, analyzing, and interpreting data, and preparing reports/feedback.
  • Experience working in either an agency or in-house recruitment environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and SharePoint.
  • Experience in recruitment, selection, and interviewing.
  • Experience with talent management processes and strategies.

Experience of working with information technology using Microsoft Office packages (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, and PowerPoint).

Qualifications and Training
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent relevant experience (see knowledge and experience section).
  • Demonstrate commitment to ongoing Professional Development (CPD).
