Town of Groton, Parks and Recreation Department, is seeking a Program Leader, Assistant Swimming Instructor for Saturdays 11:30 AM - 3:30 PM, up to 5 hours per week, starting rate $17.00 per hour.

The Assistant Swimming Instructor works with the Lead Instructor to deliver engaging and safe swimming lessons for children of varying ages and abilities.

POSITION RANGE: $17.00 - $18.75 / hour

Required Qualifications & Overview

The Assistant Swimming Instructor works alongside the Lead Swimming Instructor to deliver engaging and safe swimming lessons for children of various age groups and skill levels. This role is ideal for candidates who love working with children, are comfortable in the water, and are eager to help students build water confidence and develop essential swimming skills.

Candidates must possess a strong swimming ability, comfort working in a pool environment, and knowledge of pool safety rules, regulations, and best practices. Additionally, applicants should have the ability to take direction well, maintain a positive, structured, and safe learning environment, and build cooperative relationships with colleagues, children, and parents.

A valid motor vehicle operator's license is preferred.
