Job summary

Waythrough is seeking a dedicated Recovery Worker to support individuals on their recovery journey in Gosport and Covent. The role focuses on motivational guidance, practical support, and building confidence in achieving personal goals within mental health and substance use recovery.

You will lead group sessions and one-to-one conversations, drawing on transferable health, care, or community-work skills to make a tangible difference in people’s lives.

Qualifications

Understanding of mental health and substance misuse recovery
Strong communication and time management skills
Ability to plan your workload and deliver high-quality support
Knowledge of group dynamics and facilitation
Team player mindset with compassion and resilience

Responsibilities

Supporting people at every stage of their recovery journey
Delivering harm reduction, interventions, and structured treatment
Encouraging engagement in recovery programmes and goal setting
Working closely with colleagues and partner organisations
Championing safeguarding, inclusion, and empowerment
