Job summary

Waythrough seeks a Hope Worker Recovery Navigator to support individuals affected by substance misuse, reduce harm and promote recovery in Sheffield. You’ll provide person-centred, practical support through caseload management, outreach and brief interventions.

Working with Recovery Co-ordinators, pharmacies and partner agencies, you’ll engage with clients in community settings, conduct assessments, referrals and triage, contributing to safer, healthier communities.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care or equivalent, or working towards it.
• Experience supporting vulnerable people in substance misuse, mental health or social care.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Compassionate, proactive and person-centred approach.
• Driving licence and access to a vehicle is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload with assessments and support plans.
• Deliver brief and extended interventions to support recovery.
• Provide outreach and walk-in assessments, referrals and triage.
• Offer harm reduction advice and support naloxone access.
• Collaborate with partner agencies to provide intensive support.
