Job summary

Together UK in the Norwich area is seeking a Recovery Worker to support people with mental health challenges across the Great Yarmouth area. The role focuses on person-centred practical and emotional support to help individuals move forward in their recovery journey.

You will build trust, develop recovery plans, accompany clients to appointments, and work with partners, healthcare professionals and families. A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle are mandatory, with mileage paid.

Compensation: £ 24968.26 per annum (basic salary) plus £ 1066.65 per annum (recruitment and retention allowance)

Description

Recovery looks different for everyone. For some, it might mean feeling confident enough to attend an appointment independently. For others, it could be reconnecting with family, returning to work, managing their mental health more effectively or becoming part of their local community.

As a Mental Health Recovery Worker, you'll support people to identify what's important to them and work alongside them to achieve their goals. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference while helping people build confidence, independence and a sense of purpose.

Working across the Great Yarmouth area, you'll provide practical and emotional support to people experiencing mental health challenges. You'll take a strengths-based approach, helping individuals recognise their abilities, overcome barriers and move forward in their recovery journey.

This is a varied role that combines one-to-one support, community-based work and partnership working with other services. You'll have the chance to make a lasting impact while developing meaningful relationships with the people you support.

The role is based across the Great Yarmouth area, supporting individuals in their homes and within the local community.

You'll be joining a small, dedicated team that is passionate about delivering high-quality mental health support. As part of a close-knit service, you'll have the opportunity to build strong working relationships, contribute ideas and play an important role in shaping the support we provide.

While much of the role involves working independently in the community, you'll also benefit from regular team meetings, supervision and ongoing support.
