About the role

Our Recovery Workers play a vital role in supporting clients to identify their goals, ambitions, and passions. You’ll work with them to create the best treatment plan for their needs and to guide them on their path to recovery.

This is a frontline role at WithYou, where you will provide continuity of care through effective partnership working, care coordination, key work responsibilities, and intervention delivery. You will manage an active caseload, connecting quickly with clients and ensuring they’re always treated with respect and dignity.

What we’re looking for

We’re looking for a compassionate and motivated individual, with an exceptional ability to build meaningful relationships. You will have demonstrable experience working within the health, social care, criminal justice, or other specialist setting, or a clear motivation for wanting to work in the drug and alcohol sector. A successful track record of providing efficient and reliable customer service is essential.

You will be highly organised, have excellent communication skills, and be able to manage your time effectively. You will work collaboratively as part of a team to ensure a high-quality service is maintained. Above all, we are looking for someone who is passionate about what we do and has a positive and engaging approach to our clients and key stakeholders.

To be successful in this role, you will:

  • have attained ONC/NVQ level 3 or be willing to achieve this within 12 months
  • have some experience of working in a health, social care or related setting
  • have the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with clients and colleagues alike
  • be able to work effectively in a team, supporting others when needed
  • be resilient under pressure and able to prioritise your work
  • have good oral and written communication skills
  • be comfortable using IT and digital media
  • be organised and able to manage your time effectively
  • able to be flexible with your working hours on occasion
  • be happy to support other WithYou locations when needed
  • have a full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle

As part of this role, you will be required to work on a Saturday between the hours of 9 am - 5 pm on a rotational basis. Hours worked during this time will be toiled between Monday - Friday, 9 am - 5 pm.
