Job summary

Turning Point is seeking a Recovery Worker for Ashford Recovery House to provide person-centred, recovery-focused support to individuals in crisis. You will deliver structured one-to-one sessions, helping guests explore coping strategies and regain safety in a calm, therapeutic environment.

The role involves medication support, accurate record-keeping, and signposting to community services, working with a network of family, carers and professionals to ensure a smooth transition from crisis.

Qualifications

• Basic experience in health or social care required.
• Full training, supervision and development provided.
• Ability to remain calm and show empathy during crises.
• Good communication with guests and professionals across circles of support.

Responsibilities

• Provide person-centred, recovery-focused support to individuals in crisis.
• Deliver structured one-to-one sessions using Recovery Packs and tools.
• Help guests de‑escalate distress and regain a sense of safety.
• Support with medication self-administration and maintain accurate records.
• Signpost to community services and collaborate with family, carers and professionals to ensure continuity of care.
