Job summary

Somerset Council is seeking an Employment Specialist to support people in recovery who are motivated to find and sustain work. Working within the Connect to Work programme, you’ll help individuals identify strengths, prepare for interviews and connect with employers to create opportunities, while navigating recovery challenges.

You’ll work closely with drug and alcohol services, health professionals and training providers to deliver tailored support, action plans and outcomes that improve

Responsibilities

• Managing a dedicated caseload of individuals in recovery with personalised employment action plans.
• Develop relationships with employers across Somerset to identify opportunities.
• Work with drug and alcohol treatment services, health professionals and training providers to enable training and recovery-focused interventions.
• Provide CV development, job searching, interview coaching and support career progression.
• Maintain accurate records and monitor participant progress.
