Job summary

Lifeways Group in Southampton is hiring a Recovery Support Worker to help adults with complex mental health needs live more independently. The role covers key support tasks, with shift pattern 10am–10pm and sleep-ins; pay rate £13.45 per hour.

You will assist with medication, appointments, budgeting and daily living skills, encourage community engagement, and help create recovery plans while maintaining thorough documentation.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting adults with complex mental health needs.
• Empathy, discretion and strong communication.
• Access to funded health and social care qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Supporting individuals with conditions like schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, autism, and substance misuse
• Helping with medication, appointments, budgeting, and daily living skills
• Encouraging community engagement through college, volunteering, and creative activities
• Creating recovery plans and maintaining high standards of documentation
• Being a consistent, calming presence in a dynamic environment
