Job summary

Change Grow Live in Hatfield is seeking a dedicated professional to join the Spectrum team in a sessional role, supporting people with drug and/or alcohol issues on their recovery journey. You will run group work programmes, conduct screening, assessment and recovery planning, and coordinate with partner agencies to maximise outcomes for service users.

Qualifications

Strong understanding of substance misuse issues or experience in a similar field.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with good IT abilities.
Proactive and able to work on own initiative with strong time management.
Knowledge of mental health interventions, services and good practice.
Supportive team player capable of working with a wide range of professionals.
Appreciation of information governance and safeguarding requirements.

Responsibilities

Supporting service users from entry into the service through their treatment/recovery journey.
Providing screening, assessment, recovery planning and onward referral.
Reducing drug and alcohol-related harm for service users and the wider community.
Promoting involvement of carers, service users and the community.
Advocating access to partner services and engaging with agencies.
Delivering motivational interviewing and safeguarding (children and adults).
Raising awareness of substance misuse, equality and inclusion, and first aid.
