Job summary

Change Grow Live in Luton is hiring a Recovery Worker to assess and engage service users, ensuring access to the right interventions at the right time. You’ll work within a multi-disciplinary team based in Newham, supporting those with substance misuse issues and promoting recovery, resilience and social reintegration.

You will need excellent communication, strong IT skills, and the ability to manage competing priorities.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of substance misuse issues.
• Experience of group/pod work and managing group dynamics.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; good IT skills.

Responsibilities

• Support service users from entry through treatment/recovery journey.
• Screening, assessment, recovery planning and onward referral.
• Reduce drug and alcohol harm in the community.
• Promote involvement of carers, service users, and community.
• Advocate for access to partnership services.
• Support social reintegration and peer support initiatives.
• Prepare and deliver group materials for sessions/groups/pods.
• Deliver structured content to users at various recovery stages.
• Debrief with co-facilitators and monitor progress.
