Spire Leicester Hospital is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse or Operating Department Practitioner to join our Anaesthetic & Recovery Team in Leicester. The Recovery Practitioner will provide planned perioperative care, ensuring patient safety and experience across the recovery journey.

You will work with consultants, anaesthetists and multidisciplinary teams to maintain high-quality recovery care, participate in governance and support colleagues in a busy theatre environment.

Formación

• Registered Nurse (NMC) or Operating Department Practitioner (HCPC) registration.
• Experience in theatre or perioperative environment preferred.
• Strong clinical assessment and monitoring skills; ability to work independently within a multidisciplinary team.

Responsabilidades

• Assess, plan, deliver and evaluate patient care in the recovery setting.
• Monitor patients post-surgery and respond to changing clinical needs.
• Support health, wellbeing and comfort during the immediate post-operative period.
• Collaborate with anaesthetists, surgeons and the theatre team to ensure safe patient care.
• Prepare, check and safely use recovery equipment and monitoring devices.
• Maintain accurate patient records and communicate complex clinical information clearly.
• Contribute to governance, quality improvement and best practice.
