Job summary

Affidea UK & Ireland in Wimbledon is seeking a Recovery Nurse Practitioner to join our Theatres team. You will provide exemplary post-anaesthetic care as patients recover from theatre and endoscopy procedures, assessing and stabilising them until discharge or transfer.

The role offers a unique opportunity to shape the recovery service at the opening of our new clinic, working within a perioperative pathway with a focus on patient-centred care and continuous learning.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with active NMC registration.
• Recent clinical experience in an acute healthcare environment, including recovery/PACU.
• Strong understanding of anaesthetic recovery, airway management and post-operative complications.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled, post-anaesthetic care to patients recovering from surgery or endoscopy.
• Assess airway, breathing, circulation, consciousness, and pain on arrival in recovery; monitor and respond to condition.
