Job description

Recovery Practitioner - Greenwich

We have an exciting opportunity for a Recovery Practitioner to join a substance misuse charity on an initial temporary basis.

This is an initial 3-month contract, with on-site work from 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday.

This role is ideal for individuals who have experience with substance misuse issues and are looking to advance their careers within an organization that fosters personal and professional growth.

Responsibilities:
  1. Assist clients at the start of the programme and identify the best recovery strategies.
  2. Minimize harm caused by drugs and alcohol to clients and the community.
  3. Act as an advocate for partnership services.
  4. Support service users with social (re)integration, promoting self-determination, resilience, and recovery.
  5. Facilitate group sessions to provide structured information at different recovery phases.
Experience Required:
  1. Thorough understanding of substance misuse issues or previous experience in a related field.
  2. Knowledge of drug and alcohol services, interventions, and best practices.
  3. Ability to manage change effectively, prioritizing service user interests.
  4. Understanding of information governance procedures and adherence to safety measures.
