Job summary

Central and North West London NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Peer Support Worker to use lived experience of being on a mental health ward to support others on the Amazon Ward at St Charles hospital.

The role focuses on sharing recovery journeys, building hope, and supporting patients to regain control of their lives through one-to-one and group activities within a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Lived experience of recovery from mental health services.
• Ability to support others using personal journey.
• Willingness to develop through peer-working training.

Responsibilities

• Provide peer support to service users on the ward.
• Work within MDT to advocate for patients’ needs.
• Facilitate one-to-one and group recovery activities.
