Job summary

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (NHSGGC) invites applications for an RMN to join the Alcohol and Drug Recovery Service in East Renfrewshire. You will conduct holistic assessments, care planning, and provide nursing care within a multidisciplinary team, travelling across East Renfrewshire to support service users in various settings.

The role requires a First Level Registered Nurse with a valid NMC PIN, and a commitment to harm reduction and person-centred care.

Qualifications

• First Level Registered Nurse qualification.
• Current and valid NMC UK PIN.
• Knowledge of alcohol and drug recovery services and harm reduction approaches.
• Understanding of risk assessment and care planning processes.
• Experience in a multidisciplinary team environment.
• Knowledge of safeguarding, adult and child protection procedures.
• Understanding of health promotion principles.
• Awareness of equality, diversity, dignity and respect in care delivery.
• Ability to develop therapeutic relationships with service users and carers.
• Strong communication and partnership-working skills.

Responsibilities

• Undertake holistic assessments and care planning within a multidisciplinary team.
• Deliver nursing care tailored to individual needs in the least restrictive manner.
• Support mental and physical wellbeing through health promotion activities.
• Identify and respond to issues such as vulnerability, domestic abuse and safeguarding concerns.
• Develop therapeutic relationships with service users and carers with dignity and respect.
• Collaborate with partner agencies to ensure coordinated care.
• Travel across East Renfrewshire to meet service users' needs.
