Job summary

Waythrough is seeking a compassionate HOPE Worker in Sheffield to support individuals affected by substance misuse and promote recovery. You’ll work with service users and professionals to reduce harm, build recovery capital, and help people live safer, healthier lives. The role requires a full driving licence and vehicle for work.

The position offers a permanent contract with 37 hours per week, a rolling interview process, and progression within the salary band.

Qualifications

• The successful applicant must have some experience within substance misuse, recovery support or a similar type of role.
• Demonstrates compassion and kindness to provide effective support and care.
• Resilience to handle challenging situations while maintaining a positive outlook.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
• Strong organisational and time-management abilities.

Responsibilities

• Manage a varied caseload of clients and support their recovery goals.
• Support service users in accessing resources to increase recovery capital.
• Work with a multi-disciplinary team and provide guidance to colleagues.
• Maintain accurate records and comply with safeguarding policies.
• Contribute to monitoring and evaluation systems and reporting.
