Inclusion at HMP Isle of Wight is seeking a Healthcare Support Worker to support individuals with mental health and substance misuse needs within a prison environment. You will be part of an Integrated Multi-Disciplinary Team, delivering compassionate, patient-centered care and contributing to recovery goals while upholding dignity and safeguarding standards.

The role requires a Diploma in Health and Social Care Level 3, Literacy and Numeracy at Level 2, and prior Band 2/3 HCA experience.

Qualifications

Diploma in Health and Social Care Level 3 or equivalent.
Key skills in Literacy and Numeracy Level 2.
Previous experience as a Band 2/3 HCA or equivalent in a care environment.

Responsabilités

Maintain safety, privacy and dignity in patient-centered care, respecting differences.
Recognise signs of patient harm, abuse or neglect, including safeguarding of children, and report concerns per Trust procedures.
Undertake delegated activities within level of own competency, supporting intervention plans as part of the multidisciplinary team.
Contribute to patient assessment and document in the medical record.
Identify changes in patients' presentation and report appropriately.
Regularly accompany and provide support to patients in prison settings as delegated.
