Job summary

ABL 1 Touch is seeking a Recovery Driver to ensure safe delivery and collection of customers' vehicles. You will mark damage with chalk, take images and complete associated paperwork, supporting a busy repair operation.

The role requires a full UK driving licence with C1E/CE categories and Digi Driver Card, plus a proactive, team‑oriented attitude and willingness to work overtime and participate in a bonus scheme.

Qualifications

• Must be over 21 with a full UK driving licence.
• Driver Qualification Card is required.
• C1E or CE licence categories.
• You may drive various vehicles within your licence categories.
• Requires regular physical activity including moving and securing vehicles.
• Digi Driver Card.
• Experience in vehicle recovery is preferable.
• Team player with initiative, flexibility and a can‑do attitude.
• Cultural and organisational awareness and responsibility.

Responsibilities

• Complete all Job Pack paperwork neatly and obtain signatures where required.
• Ensure Customer Vehicle Condition Report is complete along with any images taken before passing to Estimators.
• Comply with the Drivers Tacho Break Regulation 2009 (if applicable).
• Policy Excess, VAT Bills and Private Quotes – ensure payment has been taken before leaving site; if not paid, query with Transport Manager.
• Ensure courtesy cars are up to standard and safe for customer use; report defects or damage to Transport Manager.
• Follow the correct procedure when dealing with customer complaints.
• Move cars in/out of the workshop at the start or end of the day.
• Wash customer or courtesy cars where necessary.

As aRecovery Driver,you will ensure safe delivery / collection of all customers vehicles. You will be responsible for marking all damage on vehicles with chalk pen before taking images.

Responsibilities of a Recovery Driver will include:
