Job summary

A leading organization in the recovery sector is seeking a Recovery Coordinator for maternity cover until December 2025. This role involves supporting and empowering individuals on their recovery journeys through structured treatment and interventions, focusing on harm reduction and engagement in recovery programs. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of substance misuse and the skills to operate in a collaborative team environment, providing essential support to service users.

Job description

Recovery Coordinator (Opiate Team) – Maternity Cover until December 2025

Location:3 Armley Court, Leeds, LS12 2LB
Working hours: 37 hours Monday-Friday, there is an expectation to work until 7pm once per week (time will be owed back)

About the role…
As aRecovery Coordinator, you will be a vital part of the team, providing support and encouragement to service users at all stages of their recovery journey. Our services range from harm reduction for those at the start of their recovery, through to brief and extended interventions, as well as structured treatment for individuals requiring more focused support.

You will motivate, guide, and empower service users to engage with our recovery programmes and achieve their recovery goals.

About you…
We’re looking for an individual with a real passion for working in a recovery focused environment. You’ll hold some transferable skills, ideally from working in a similar environment or sector.

You will also have:

  • A knowledge and understanding of substance misuse and recovery.
  • Experience of managing, planning, and prioritising your own workload, delivering work of a high standard
  • An understanding of safeguarding
  • An understanding of group working, group dynamics and group facilitation.
  • Excellent communication, organisation, and time management skills
  • The ability to work well in a team environment alongside a range of people and organisations.

The salary advertised above demonstrates the full earning potential for this role, starting salaries will allow for pay progression within the pay band.
