Job summary

Office Angels is seeking a dedicated Mental Health Support Worker for our client in Sydenham. The role is permanent and fully office-based, with a 8:30am–5pm schedule, plus late shifts and weekend coverage to support recovery journeys.

The ideal candidate has a psychology background with 2 years in health and social care, strong empathy, and excellent communication. A supportive team and opportunities for flexible arrangements are highlighted.

Qualifications

  • Education: Psychology undergraduate degree or equivalent.
  • Experience: 2 years in health or social care.
  • Industry: Health and social care.
  • Specific skills: As on the person spec.
  • Personality & attributes: As on the person spec.
  • Top 5 priorities: Commute 1 hour or less, education/experience, digital dexterity/computer skills, knowledge of mental health diagnoses, admin skills.

Responsibilities

  • Support Clients: Provide tailored support and guidance to individuals in recovery, helping them set and achieve personal goals.
  • Collaborate: Work closely with a diverse team of professionals to create individualised recovery plans.
  • Facilitate Workshops: Organise and lead workshops that promote skills development, resilience, and self-confidence.
  • Community Engagement: Foster connections within the community to enhance support networks for clients.
  • Monitor Progress: Regularly assess clients' progress and adjust recovery plans as needed to ensure optimal outcomes.

Join Our Client's Team as a Mental Health Support Worker!

Position: Mental Health Support Worker

Contract Type: Permanent - Fully office based

Salary: £26,980

Rota Basis Hours: 8:30am - 5pm Monday to Friday, with one late shift of 12:30pm - 9pm. Weekend shifts are 9am - 9pm Saturday and Sunday, or 10am - 8pm Saturday and Sunday

Location: Sydenham
