Job summary

Recovery Connections is seeking a Peer Recovery Coach for our Residential Detox Service in the United Kingdom, using lived experience to guide individuals through detox and early recovery, inspiring hope and engagement.

You will provide peer-led support, work with clinical teams, facilitate group sessions, and assist in planning onward recovery pathways while maintaining a safe environment and a zero-tolerance stance on substance use. The role is 35 hours per week across a 7-day service.

Qualifications

• Lived experience of recovery and a passion for supporting others
• Understanding of substance use and recovery pathways
• Commitment to equality, dignity, and a strengths-based approach
• Belief that people can and do recover

Responsibilities

• Provide peer-led recovery support during detox and early recovery
• Support individuals through detox and stabilisation
• Deliver recovery-focused interventions and group sessions
• Work collaboratively with clinical teams and support services
• Maintain a safe and supportive environment with a zero-tolerance approach to substance use
