Job summary

Leica Biosystems, part of Danaher, is seeking a Scientist to support data generation for Companion Diagnostic product development within a fast-paced R&D team in Newcastle Upon Tyne, UK. You will generate data, document plans, and contribute to the validation of our diagnostic portfolio.

You will operate automated staining systems and collaborate with cross-functional teams to accelerate cancer diagnostics, ensuring quality and regulatory readiness in an on-site role.

Qualifications

• Cell culture experience with recombinant cell lines and hybridoma.
• Experience in antibody purification.
• Knowledge of health & safety in laboratory settings.

Responsibilities

• Generate data to support the development of product portfolios.
• Produce plans and reports for documentation and regulatory readiness.
• Operate automated staining systems and contribute to R&D activities.
• Support process improvements in the recombinant manufacturing team.
