Job summary

Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital is seeking a pooled receptionist to support Care Group D and reception teams across wards and outpatient areas. The role provides a reception and support service to patients, relatives and multi-professional staff while handling many tasks at once.

This permanent post requires flexible working to cover seven days a week, with shifts within a 24-hour period. Visa sponsorship is not available for this role.

Qualifications

• Good literacy and numeracy skills.
• Experience with data input or clerical tasks.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide a high-quality reception and support service in inpatient and outpatient settings.
• Communicate effectively with patients, relatives, the public and multi-professional staff.
• Support all reception teams across the department, including wards and outpatient reception areas.
• Assist technical staff where required.
• Manage multiple tasks and prioritise work efficiently.
• Work flexibly across a 24-hour period to cover seven days a week.

Qualifications

• Good general standard of literacy and numeracy

Experience

• Previous clerical work, including data input
