An exciting opportunity has arisen organised Receptionist/Clerical Officer to join the Endoscopy Unit, working across both sites at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital (NNUH) and the Quadram Institute. This is a specialised department where diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures are performed to investigate patients who suffer with upper or lower GI problems.
The successful candidate is requested to work compressed hours, with shifts including Monday, Wednesday and Friday 08:00‑18:00 and Tuesday 08:00‑17:30.

Good communication skills are essential. The successful candidate must be able to work in a team and independently, and will have a methodical approach to work, be extremely well organised and have a flexible attitude incorporating our Trust PRIDE values.
The candidate will be the first point of contact for all patients and will be the responsible administrator to ensure the correct and timely input of patient information onto the Patient Administration System (PAS), observing the rules of ‘real‑time data entry’.
The reception aspect is an essential part of the clerical and admin support for greeting patients on arrival to the department, answering telephone enquiries, creating, amending and outgoing appointments. This role includes a range of administrative duties using Trust systems to record and maintain patient records. Good IT skills, in addition to a willingness and commitment to learn multiple Trust IT systems, are necessary.
All aspects of this role should be carried out in line with Trust Policies and Procedures on data collection and confidentiality. Confidentiality in all matters is of the utmost importance.
