Job summary

Barchester Healthcare Limited is seeking a friendly Bank Receptionist for one of our UK care homes. This casual, part-time role provides flexible hours and the chance to make every resident and visitor feel at home from the moment they enter the home.

You will be the first point of contact, answering calls, welcoming guests, managing the reception area and giving tours to prospective residents and families.

Qualifications

• No formal qualifications are required but you will need a good telephone manner and strong communication skills.

ABOUT THE ROLE

This is a casual, part-time role offering flexible working. As a Bank Receptionist at a Barchester care home, you’ll provide the warm welcome that helps to make sure every resident and visitor feels at home with us. As the first point of contact for almost everyone who comes to the home, you’ll have a vitally important part to play in creating a positive and friendly environment. The role of Receptionist with us is very varied. You can expect to answer phone calls, greet visitors, manage the reception area and show prospective residents and their families around. We might also need you to carry out some administrative tasks, like typing, photocopying and filing.

ABOUT YOU

You’ll need to be professional, caring, courteous and well organised to join us as a Receptionist. You’ll take a real interest in our residents and go out of your way to make every visitor feel at home. No formal qualifications are required but you will need a good telephone manner and strong communication skills.
